Obituary Emory S. McCabe Jr., 1923-Nov. 25, 2010
Emory S. McCabe Jr., 87, of Selbyville died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, at Atlantic
General Hospital in Berlin.Born in Pittsville, he was the son of the late Emory
S. and Mary S. (Hudson) McCabe Sr.
He was a graduate of the former Selbyville High School and attended Beacom
Business College in Wilmington. He and his father owned and operated McCabe
Blueberry Farm in Selbyville for 45 years. He was a member of Salem United
Methodist Church and the Sussex County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, Helen L. McCabe; one son, E. Douglas McCabe and his 
wife, Debbie, of Selbyville; one grandson, Kenneth D. McCabe and his wife, Andrea, 
of Frankford; and two great-granddaughters, Kaila and Kendall McCabe.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary M. Pepper and Olive M. Ringler.
The funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home at 19 S. Main 
St. in Selbyville, where friends may call from noon-1 p.m. Chaplains Gail Mansell
and Dick Bunting will officiate, and burial will be in Redmen's Cemetery in 
Selbyville.
