[Freeman's] Son Belitha, land one east side of Branch. Son Sollomon, 150 acres "Collings Lott," head of Sandy Branch. Son Elisha, 50 acres Cypres Swamp "Collings Aventour(sic)." [Adventure] Grandson William Collings, son of Elizabeth, at age 21. [surname must be Besea] Daughters Mary Mumford, Elizabeth Besea (sic), Ann Stevens,[m Reuben] son John. At writers decease estate equally to my children. Wit; Robert Kirby, John Miller (now deceased), John Hall. Note:The patent for "Collins' Lot" is posted in this folder. When Collins' Lot was patented in 1748 the surveyor noted it had a log house and crops so John Collins was likely living there on Sandy Branch. Aft.1765 it was owned Benjamin Long. Questions: Did the Collins sons continue to live in the Sandy Branch area? Was the Branch mentioned re "Freeman's Contentment" Sandy Branch? Who were the sons of Wm, Belitha, Solomon, Elisha and John? Which Mumford did Mary marry? Is the surname Besea really Brazier/Brasure? What property did Reuben Stephens own?
