Milby Bunting (photo posted, Ken Bunting's great grandfather) taught, but not sure where. He is always listed as farmer in the census but that was not unusual. Until about 1876 he lived on his father Merrill's property near the intersection of Lighthouse Rd and Polly Branch Rd. Beers shows a schoolhouse at this location. He then moved to St Martins Neck on what is now Salt Grass Point Rd. There was once a one room school at the intersection of Salt Grass and St Martins Neck Rds. So he may have taught at either one or both of these schools. I never thought to ask. His son my great uncle Elijah granted one acre of land for the one room school house at Bunting Community but I don't know who taught there. Wm. Tolbert ( Big Hand) Hudson taught school and was a principal (my gr.grandfather, Nina Lou. My gr. granmother, Estella (Stella) Mary Long was apparently ,one of his students. -John William Henry Baker (of Jonathan) from abt abt 1870-per Christine Adams but on census he is a farmer -Edward V Baker (of Jonathan) from abt 1893-1900, at Ocean View; drove a horse and buggy fr Selbyville on Monday morning, boarded there and drove home on Friday.
