History of "Dennis's Security" rev 21 Nov 2010 (w/info from Jason Hudson)

1.Hezekiah Hudson, son of Richard Jr., 13 Sep 1762 traded 50A HUDSON'S ADDITION for DENNIS'S SECURITY of John Dennis (150A in original patent 1748, See Photos).[Colonial Families of the Eastern Shore, F. Edward Wright, v10, p125 {Wor Land Records 318)
2. LWT Hezekiah Hudson Sussex,1786/7 50A ea to wife, sons John Aydelott Hudson, David Hudson, Benjamin Hudson =200A but as Jason Hudson pointed out in his message Nov 21 2010, Mary's 50A and Benjamin's 50A seem to be the same 50A.
3. 1813 David sold his 50A to brother Benjamin = 100A
4. Oct 1817 John A Hudson sold his portion to "John Cammell" [John Campbell].
5. David & Levin Hudson, sons of Benjamin, inherited "Dennis Security" (1840 LWT) 
6. Levin sold his 50 acres "being part of "Dennis Security and Hudson's Improvement" to "Ephraim W. McNeal of the same hundred" in 1849. 
7. David sold his 50 acres in 1858 to "Woolsey B. McNeal of Sussex County, Delaware...Baltimore Hundred...It being all the lands that his father Benjamin Hudson left him...Laying on the westward side of what is called Benjamin Hudson’s Branch [possibly Polly's branch or a tributary]...joining lands of Jacob Hickman, George Holloway and others."
8.From Jason Hudson: I place the Dennis Security held by 3 generations of Hudsons in the Jay Patch area between Selbyville & Frankford because of the placement of W B McNeal on the 1868 Beers Baltimore Hundred Map,published within 10 yrs of Hezekiah's grandsons land sales. 

Location of "Dennis' Security" and other tracts known to be at Sandy Branch

1. Sussex Land Deed  (AK no.33, folio 570) for "Jinney's Addition" 77A 19 Sept 1817 from Ruth Long, Dr. Paul Howard and Betsey Howard, wife of Dr. Paul to Samuel Campbell . Tract adjoins "Dennis's Security" now in the possession of Benjamin and John A. Hudson) that was left to Betsey by the LWT of her father Benjamin Long (except land drowned by the mill pond belonging to Josiah(sic=Isaiah, son of Armwell, bro of Benj), Zeno  and Joseph Long). [Latter thought to be "Buntin's Lot" sold by Jonathan and wife Caty Bunting in 1817 to the Longs.] I would place "Dennis's Security" just north of Benjamin Long's "Collins Lot" which began 36 poles north of Sandy Branch.
