George Elmer “Jug” West, 84, of Dagsboro, Del. passed away Saturday, 
March 13, 2010, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md. 

He served in the Navy during World War II and retired as the postmaster of the
Selbyville Post Office after 28 years with the U. S. Postal Service.

West is proceeded in death by his parents, Elmer B. and Bertha (McGee) West.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred B. West; one son, Kenny West and 
his wife Denise of Selbyville, Del.; one daughter, Andrea Booz and her husband 
Bob of Milford, Del.; and by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.   

Services are set for Wednesday, Mar. 17, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home, 
19 S. Main Street, Selbyville, Del. where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m.  
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Berlin, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family 
suggests contributions to the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 128, 
Dagsboro, DE 19939.
