Alice Lee Smith SELBYVILLE — Alice Lee Smith, 92, of Selbyville died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin. She was born in Powellville and was a daughter of the late Samuel T. and Mamie E. Jones. She was a homemaker and a retired cafeteria manager for the Indian River School District. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Selbyville and a former longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company. She is survived by a son, G. Frank Smith III of Selbyville; three grandchildren, Dr. Sean Williams, Nathan Smith and Brian Smith; two great- grandchildren, Parker and Mackenzie Williams; and her three cats, Freddie, Tucker and Lucy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Smith Jr., in 1990; her daughter, Lana Rae Williams, in 2004; a son, Philip A. Smith, in 2008; and her sisters, Catherine Hearne and Doris Farlow. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with the Rev. Dr. James Van Der Wall officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service and burial will be in Redmen's Cemetery in Selbyville.
