G. McNeal, age 74, president of Garysbury Manufacturing Company, who died at his Burgaw home Monday night, was held this afternoon at Seaford, Delaware. Joseph G. McNeal was born at Selbyville Delaware in 1845, he was married to Miss Lovinia Cannon and is survived by her and two sons, J. Ross and William B. McNeal, and one brother, Jacob W. B. McNeal of Frankford, Delaware. Mr. McNeal came to North Carolina in 1893 with an interest in the lumber business, purchased the Burgaw Manufacturing company in 1906 . The deceased was a member of the I.O.O.F, Red Men and Royal Aroanum and the Methodist Church. Mr. McNeal was a man who took much interest in public affairs and community development.
