"Joshua W. Long, 89, of Selbyville died Friday, February 18, 2011 at home.
He was born in Selbyville and was the son of the late Elisha D. and Edna M. 
(Hudson) Long. He had been a farmer for many years and was a member of Wilson 
United Methodist Church in Bishopville. A Mason, he was a member of Doric Lodge
in Millville; a charter member of Bishopville Volunteer Fire Co.; founder of 
First State Flyers and a former member of Academy of Model Aeronautics. He was
also a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.  
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Viaetta Long of Selbyville, 
two sons, Josh Long II and Stephen Long both of Selbyville; four daughters, 
Judy Timmons and Jane Bezduk both of Dagsboro, Sue Smith of Milford and 
Sheila McCabe of Dagsboro; one sister, Anna Hickman of Selbyville; 17 
grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren expected 
this year.  A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, 
February 22 at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with Rev. Dennis 
Millner officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. 
at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Bishopville Cemetery in Bishopville, 
MD.

100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or in memory of Josh, to the charity 
of your choice. "
