Roy James Hudson

BISHOPVILLE-Roy James Hudson, 85, of Bishopville died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at home. He was born in Bishopville and was the son of the late Roy Wilson and Helen Mae (Bunting) Hudson.

He had retired from Perdue, where he had worked for many years and was also a farmer. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Gumboro.

He is survived by a nephew, Jeffrey Hudson of Selbyville; three nieces, Pat Webb of Berlin, Mary Webb of Whaleyville and Tammy Davis of Berlin.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Russell Hudson and William Hudson; a half brother, Coleman Bunting; and two nephews, John Hudson and Gary Hudson.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville. Friends may call an hour before the service. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
