Deaths Rev. Thomas H. Hudson The Rev. Thomas H. Hudson, 86, of Ocean View, Del., retired minister of the Peninsula Methodist Conference, was stricken with a heart attack and died suddenly Tuesday while visiting friends in Chance, Md. Since his retirement from the ministry about six years ago, Mr. Hudson had lived at Ocean View, where he had a small farm. Born in Selbyville, he spent his boyhood there and was graduated from Chestertown Teachers College, Chestertown, Md., in 1883. He taught in schools of lower Delaware for 33 years. Mr. Hudson entered the ministry in 1943 and held pastorates at Chance, Denton, Parsonsburg and Burrsville. He was at Burrsville when he retired. During his teaching career, Mr. Hudson lived at Ocean View for a number of years and was superintendent of the Sunday School there. He also had been a lay preacher for years before he entered the ministry. His first wife, Mrs. Mattie Rickards Hudson, died in February, 1942. Besides his present wife, Essie Hudson, he is survived by four children of the previous marriage, Kover M. Hudson, Wilmington; W. Kendall Hudson, Millsboro; T. Emery Hudson, Baltimore, and Mrs.. Earl Riley, Wilmington. He also leaves five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at Mariner's Methodist Church, Ocean View, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
