Hilda Bennett Gehle, 94 DENTON, Md. - Hilda Bennett Gehle of Denton died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, in Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was 94. Mrs. Gehle was born in Roxana, Del., daughter of the late Gove Augustus Bennett and Mary Holland Bennett. She lived in Pompano Beach, Fla., for 25 years, moving to Easton in 1983, then to Seaford, Del., and to Denton in 2000. She was a graduate of Selbyville High School in Selbyville, Del., and Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington, Del. She was a secretary for E.I. DuPont in Wilmington for 26 years, retiring in 1956. Mrs. Gehle was a member of Easton/Cambridge Eastern Star and Christian Church of Denton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore F. Gehle, in 1968; a sister, Aleta Bennett; and two brothers, Alton Bennett and Howard W. Bennett. She is survived by her nephew and his wife, David and Polly Bennett of Denton, with whom she lived the last four years of her life. Services will be 11 am Monday in Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be in Roxana Cemetery, Roxana, Del. Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in her memory to the Christian Church of Denton, 8684 Mitchell Road, Denton, MD 21629.
