Lynwood Evans

Age 82, of Selbyville, DE, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at home.

Born in Roxana, DE, Mr. Evans was an insurance agent for United Insurance
Company, retiring in 1989. He was a member and past master of Doric Lodge # 30 in
Millville, DE, and a member of the Scottish Rite, Delaware Consistory, and he was
a Shriner, and a member of the Nur Temple, and the Lower Delaware Shrine Club,
Selbyville Elks Lodge # 2173, and American Legion Post 24 of Dagsboro, DE. He was
an avid hunter who enjoyed bird and turkey hunting. Mr. Evans was also a WWII
Army Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Anna Baker Evans. He is
survived by his wife of 61 years, Rena Hickman Evans, of Selbyville, DE; his
sister, Joanna E. McCabe ; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, March 31, at Hastings
Funeral Home, 19 South Main Street, Slebyville, DE. The service will be
officiated by the Reverend Dr. Bruce Cook. Visitation will occur 1 hour prior to
the service. Interment in Bishopville Cemetery in Bishopville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 600
Dupont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947.
