GLADYS SHOCKLEY EVANS

Gladys Shockley Evans, age 68, of Selbyville, DE, passed away on Friday, October
24, 2008 at her home after a long illness.  She was surrounded by her loving
family.

Born in Selbyville, DE, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Beatrice
Lathbury.  She owned and operated her own cleaning service for many years.

In addition to her parents Gladys was preceded in death by a sister, Louise
Burton and one grandson, William Cropper.  She is survived by her husband, Joseph
Evans and by four children and their spouses: Roy and Barbara Evans of
Selbyville, DE, Randall Evans of Bishopville, MD, Teresa Cropper of Frankford, DE
and Tammy and George Mitchell of Frankford, DE.  Gladys is also survived by 8
grandchildren: Michael Evans, Matthew Evans, Jennifer Evans, Cherise Cropper,
Danielle Adams, Randi Evans, Cassandra Evans and Brandon Mitchell and seven great
grandchildren.  She is also survived by two brothers, John Lathbury and Robert
Lathbury and one sister Doris Donovan.

Service and burial are private.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial
contributions in Gladys’ name to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way,
