WILLIAM “BILL” JAMES BRASURE William “Bill” James Brasure, 78 of Parsonsburg, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Williamsville, he was the son of the late James L. and Cecil Vance Hudson Brasure. Brasure was a poultry farmer, a painter, the founder of Brasure’s Pest Control, a school bus driver for the Indian River School District, a Selbyville Police Officer and a Christian Missionary and Evangelist. He was a member of the Selbyville Lions Club, Jerusalem United Methodist Church and the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship Association. He enjoyed photography and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Christine Holloway Brasure; a son and his wife, Bruce W. & Debra Brasure of Elkton, M.; step-children, Teresa L. Williams of Parksley, Va., Gerald W. Vickers and his wife, Christina of Hebron, Karlo M. Vickers of Parsonsburg, Vickie S. Catlin and her husband, Matthew of Hebron and Vera A. Taylor and her husband, Robert of Hebron; grandchildren, Robert Brasure and Jeffrey Brasure; step-grandchildren, Adam Williams, Cara Williams, Kevin Vickers, Andrew Vickers, Mary Moreno, Kyle Taylor, Garrett Taylor, Maya Taylor, Abigail Catlin and Madelyn Catlin; step-great-grandchildren; Kayla Williams and Cameron Williams; brothers, Larry Brasure and his wife, Achsah of Williamsville, Wade Brasure of Millsboro, James Brasure and his wife, Paulette of Frankford, and Carroll Brasure and his wife, Diane of Williamsville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Ann Brasure in December 1973. A funeral service was held Wednesday, November 26, at Holloway Funeral Home. The Rev. Henry Zollinhoffer officiated. Interment will be in Jerusalem Cemetery in Parsonsburg.
