MILLSBORO — Nancy Ellen Adkins of Millsboro, 76, passed away at Mercy Hospital
 in Baltimore on Tuesday Nov. 29, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Bishopville on Jan. 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Layfield 
and Hester Selby Bunting. She was a homemaker; that is what she loved the most. 
Her life was her family, whom she adored. She loved spending time with family 
and friends. She was definitely the matriarch of her family, and was known for 
her neatness and immaculately clean home.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, George Allen Adkins of Millsboro; 
one daughter, Vanessa Adkins Megee, and her husband, Terry, of Georgetown; and 
one son, Stanton Adkins and his wife, Marjorie, of Millsboro. She is also 
survived by her sisters, Jill Bunting and Denise West and her husband, Kenny, 
both of Selbyville; a brother-in-law, Ralph J. Adkins and his wife, Peggy; four 
grandchildren, Lindsay Megee, Terry Matthew Megee and his wife, Stacey, Ricker 
Stanton Adkins, and Abigail Kathleen Adkins. She is also survived by numerous 
nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. (Selbyville dau &

A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday 
at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, Del. The Rev. Leroy 
Jones will officiate. Calling hours and a time for visitation with the family 
will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Millsboro Cemetery 
in Millsboro.
